Bookbinding
We offer several beautiful binding options to finish off your projects. Whether you are publishing your own books, making a special gift, or even making sketchbooks to share with your clients and friends, we are bound to have a binding that you will fall for. We can also have your books digitally printed and hand-bind them to save you money on your small editions. Beautiful books can be printed digitally, but bound with letterpress printed covers. Email info@thousandpoundpress.com for more information and pricing on any of our binding options.
Saddle Stitch:
A very cost effective stitch through the spine. Makes great pocket sized notebooks. Works best on books 20 pages or shorter. Stitching can be done with twines, threads or staples.
Stab Binding
Several tiny holes are poked through the edge of the book and cords, ribbons, or twine are threaded through. You need approximately 1/2" extra margin on the binding edge of your book. This option works on books of nearly any thickness. There are a variety of stitching patterns available to create even more unique books.
Folios
Loose pages securely wrapped in a printed cover. An elegant option to showcase your artwork or individual pages of poetry.
Perfect Binding
This option works very well for thicker books. All sheets are neatly stacked and a bookbinding adhesive is applied to the spine. A paper cover is then wrapped around the book. This is how many softcover books and magazines are created.
Notepads
We also offer notepad blocks, which can be any size. Print custom notes and make pads to put on your desk or to give your clients.
